The Institute for Economic Analysis, in collaboration with the Unit of Economic Analysis (UFAE) of the Department of Economics and Economic History at UAB, organizes multiple seminar series at the Bellaterra campus.
IAE+UAB - Bellaterra Seminars: The jointly organized Bellaterra Seminar series specialize in applied economics (Mondays), microeconomics (Tuesdays), and macroeconomics (Wednesdays). These seminars feature leading researchers from top departments worldwide. Organizers:
Bellaterra Applied Economics: Ana-Rute Cardoso (IAE) and Luca Salvadori (UAB)
Bellaterra Microeconomics: Ángel Luis López (IAE) and Fernando Payró (UAB)
UAB - internal workshops: These workshops allow graduate students and faculty members from IAE and UAB to receive valuable feedback on their ongoing research. At times, external speakers may also be invited to present in these internal workshops. The workshops are split into the same three areas as the Bellaterra Seminars: applied economics (Mondays), microeconomics (Thursdays), and macroeconomics (Fridays). Organizers:
Applied Working Group: André Groeger (UAB)
Macroclub: Luis Rojas (UAB) and Pau Roldán (UAB)
Microlab: Mikhail Drugov (UAB)
IAE - internal seminars: New IAE faculty or visiting faculty present their work for a wider audience. The IAE internal seminars are also occasionally used as a platform for discussions on specific topics. Organizer:
