Short Biography

Matthew Ellman joined the institute in 2010, after working at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. His main research areas are organisations, contracts, markets and the law, ethics and experimental economics, political economy and the media. Matthew is currently working on the implications of procedural justice for contract design a theory with experimental evidence (joint with Jordi Brandts and Gary Charness) and on different approaches to media subsidy (paying particular attention to the problems of political bias and dumbed-down reporting).
