Complex Data in the Study of Politics and Conflict, November 18-19, 2021
Data used in academic research and policy applications are increasingly complex. This workshop focuses on problems and methods related to the extraction of specific features of complex data and their subsequent integration into research or the policy process. The workshop organizers are Laura Mayoral (IAE-CSIC and BSE) and Hannes Mueller (IAE-CSIC and BSE).

The 25th conference of the Coalition Theory Network, May 21-22, 2020 (postponed to May 2022 due to COVID-19)
The Coalition Theory Network (CTN) is an association of nine high-level scientific institutions whose aim is the advancement and diffusion of research in the area of network theory and coalition formation. Its next anual conference is organized by Flip Klijn (IAE-CSIC and BSE), Jordi Massó (UAB and BSE), Pau Milán (UAB and BSE), Antonio Miralles (UAB and BSE), and Amedeo Piolatto (UAB and BSE).

Ada Ferrer-i-Carbonell (IAE-CSIC, BSE, IZA) participated in a roundtable organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona on indicators of progress and well-being beyond GDP.

2021-04-20: Mueller on forecasts of the risk of armed conflict
Hannes Mueller (IAE-CSIC and BSE) was interviewed by RNE5 (Spanish National Radio) on the website https://conflictforecast.org/. The website was launched by an international research team led by him and Christopher Rauh (University of Cambridge) and offers forecasts of the risk of armed conflict in countries around the world.

2021-01-04: Ferrer-i-Carbonell on women in science and COVID19 measures
Ada Ferrer-i-Carbonell (IAE-CSIC, BSE, IZA) was interviewed by magazine "Pensem" on women in science. She commented on her academic life and research interests as well as on the COVID19 measures.
