Maps and directions

The Institute for Economic Analysis is located on the Bellaterra campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, about 30 km west of Barcelona.
The Bellaterra campus is accessible by road (highways AP-7, C-16 and C-58) and train (RENFE and FGC).

How to arrive from downtown by train:

1 - Get to the nearest Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) Ferrocarrils station. Line: Barcelona - Vallès.

2 - Take any train signalled with "Sabadell" S2 (S2) or "Universitat Autònoma" (S55).

3 - Get off the train at "Universitat Autònoma".

4 - Use the following map to walk to the Institute (5 minutes).

(The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes.)


 

How to arrive from the airport:

- By train RENFE: take a RENFE train (line R2) to "Barcelona-Sans". Then, get off the train and wait on the same platform and take a RENFE train (line 1, 3 or 4) to "Plaça de Catalunya". Once in "Plaça de Catalunya" (downtown Barcelona) take a FGC train (see above).

- By car/taxi: Follow the directions of this map.


 

How to arrive by car:

- From the south (highway AP-2/AP-7) The IAE is near highway AP-7 (E15). Take the exit approximately in Km 150. To get to the Institute, follow the directions in this map.

- From Barcelona (highway C-58) The fastest way to get to the IAE from the C-58 (highway Barcelona - Sabadell - Terrassa) is taking exit number 8 in the direction of highway AP-7 (Lleida-Tarragona). Then, use the following map.
